Endowments
Endowments offer a stable financial base of support for Hillcrest and its delivery of health care services to the Central Texas area. Dollars coming through endowments provide an ongoing source of income available for years to come. Endowments present a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on the future. The following are the 25 currently existing endowments at Hillcrest; we hope you will consider supporting one of these or creating your own. HILLCREST HEALTH FOUNDATION ENDOWMENTS
Woodie Scott Memorial Scholarship Endowment – named in memory of Woodie Scott, long-time Hillcrest Associate - supports scholarships for nursing education
Margaret Claypool Alzheimers Endowment - funds to be used for Alzheimers projects at Hillcrest
Reilly Matthew Corwin Memorial Scholarship - scholarship for nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to continue their professional education
Gail Dow Hospice Memorial Fund - in memory of Mrs. Gail Dow--funds support the greatest identified need of the Hillcrest Community Hospice
Endowment for Education - supports programs and services of the Hillcrest Department of Education
Legacy General Endowment - for the general support of Hillcrest
Hillcrest Baptist Hospital Endowment - for the general support of Hillcrest
Curtis and Bettye Holland Endowment - provide stipend for students working in the SIT and/or Clinical Pastoral Education Programs at Hillcrest
Charlie Mae Hutchison Endowment - supports the Hillcrest Community Hospice
Kenneth M. Gilbert Endowment - general support of Hillcrest
The Wetona Mayfield Scholarship Endowment - in honor of Mrs. Wetona Mayfield, former Hillcrest Vice President of Nursing--supports scholarships for nursing education
Pastoral Care Endowment for Materials - provide support materials for the Department of Pastoral Care at Hillcrest
Pastoral Care Endowment for Spiritual Emphasis - funding for programs for Spiritual Emphasis at Hillcrest, including speakers
The Alton Pearson Lecture Series - in honor of Mr. Alton Pearson, President Emeritus of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center--supports an educational lecture program for medical staff at Hillcrest
John and Sarah Truet Penland Endowment - support for Hillcrest
L.L. Martin General Charity Work Endowment - support for Hillcrest
The Richard E. and Carol Scott Forum for Innovations in Critical Care - in honor of Mr. Richard E. Scott, President Emeritus of the Hillcrest Health System, and Mrs. Scott--provides special educational sessions covering recent and emerging innovations in critical care services
Alice Sugg Fund - general support of Hillcrest
Ray and Beatrice Van Duivendyk Endowment - support of Hillcrest
Robert L. and Ruth Vickers Memorial Endowment Fund - support of Hillcrest
Bates Hospice Fellowship - funds to send a Hillcrest Community Hospice volunteer to the Texas and New Mexico annual conference each year
Congestive Heart Failure Endowment - used for scientific and educational purposes used to support the Hillcrest Congestive Heart Failure Program
Hospice Big Red Endowment - Big Red Bottling Company endowment that funds care and assistance for indigent patients of the Hillcrest Community Hospice
Jamie's Place - named in memory of J.D. Hilton, a former cancer patient of the Hillcrest Community Hospice--supports children's grief service of the Hospice program
Neonatal Intensive Care Endowment - supports the Hillcrest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the only such facility in McLennan County
Tri Delta's Kidsville - Baylor University's Tri Delta Sorority Endowment funds needed items for use in Kidsville, Hillcrest's pediatric inpatient facility
