Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers are vital to Hillcrest and through their services assist patients, patient families and Hillcrest Associates in many areas including the Information Desk, Gift Shop, Human Resources, and various other clinical and non-clinical areas.   Volunteers generally work in 4 hour shifts that range from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and evenings and weekends; however, there are several flexible placements weekly and monthly.  Some needs may be "task-oriented" and occur annually.  The volunteer process includes paperwork, visitation and training, plus special instruction of policies and compliance.

Volunteer activities vary from personal contact with patients, staff, visitors and customers to community contact through fundraising, on behalf of the Hillcrest Auxiliary.  Because Hillcrest Auxiliary is the only service organization in direct support of the Medical Center, all volunteers are requested to join the Auxiliary, if possible, by submitting dues of $5.00 annually.
