Medicare pays for the cost of inpatient rehabilitation provided the patient meets criteria at admission and during the hospital stay. A case manager verifies private pay insurance benefits prior to admission and works with insurance on continued authorization throughout the inpatient stay. The Hillcrest business office also makes arrangements for private pay.
