Radiation Therapy

For more than 20 years, the Fentress Cancer Center has led the way in providing compassionate, Christian care for cancer patients in a setting of state-of-the-art technology.

Under the direction of a board certified radiation oncologist, Larry Mundy, MD, the Center offers comprehensive radiation therapy services including external beam and intracavitary therapy along with interstitial seed therapy.

The Center includes two linear accelerators, a computerized treatment planning system and a spiral CT scanner for therapy simulation. In 1999, the Center upgraded the linear accelerators to include a multileaf collimator system, dynamic wedge system and an oncology management computer system which facilitate conformal therapy procedures.
